Team & roles
Invite teammates, understand the five roles, and the protections that keep an org from losing its owner.
Add teammates and control what each can do from the Team screen. AskThis uses role-based access control with five roles.
The five roles
| Role | Can do |

| Owner | Everything, including managing owners and deleting the org |
| Admin | Manage the team, sites, config, and billing |
| Editor | Manage sites, configuration, and prompts |
| Analyst | Read-only access to analytics and reports |
| Billing | Manage billing, invoices, and the plan |
Inviting a teammate
Enter their email and pick a role. They receive an invite link that’s valid for 14 days; if it expires, re-invite to send a fresh one. Your seat count reflects current members.
Owner protections
To keep an org from being locked out or hijacked, AskThis enforces a few rules:
- Only an owner can invite or assign another owner.
- You can’t demote the last owner — there’s always at least one.
- You can’t change your own role.
- Owners can’t be removed by other members.
Billing access without full admin
Give your finance contact the Billing role — they can manage invoices and the plan without touching sites or team settings.
