What the AskThis data platform is
The AI-intent data platform — what it offers, and the privacy guarantees built into every segment.
The AskThis data platform turns a unique signal — what people ask AI about — into privacy-safe audience segments for buyers. When a visitor uses an “Ask AI” button, that intent (never their identity) becomes part of an aggregated signal you can license.
What you can license
- AI-intent signals — aggregated interest by topic and page type, derived from real ask-and-share behavior across publishers.
- Segments — audiences defined by page type and platform, delivered as feeds or over the
Data Platform API (
/data/v1/*).
Everything is served through a dedicated partner portal with catalog, segment detail, feeds, activations, API access, team, and billing.
Privacy guarantees (built in, not bolted on)
Every segment is subject to the same guarantees, enforced in the data path:
- No raw events, no PII, ever. The Data Platform API only serves aggregated, pseudonymous data. Identifiers are hashed at ingestion.
- k-anonymity floor of 50 — no segment or signal is served below a minimum cohort size, enforced at multiple layers.
- Consent-gated at ingestion — data enters the pipeline only where consent allows, and withdrawals propagate through a suppression list.
How the pipeline stays clean
Visitor events flow edge → queue → warehouse, decoupled from the application database, with consent and country-only signals attached at the edge. PII never enters the analytics path.
Getting access
Partner accounts are provisioned by the AskThis team (there’s no self-serve signup yet). Once your account is set up and your data agreement is in place, you’ll receive an invite to the partner portal. Then follow Access your first segment.
